Subject: Urgent Request for Immediate Action agnst Eritrean Embassy and Sponsored Individuals in Israel

To Whom It May Concern,

I ext my deepest greetings and respect as I address this plea to you. We are reaching out with grave concerns about a situation unfolding within the Eritrean community in Israel, specifically concerning the actions of individuals sponsored by the Eritrean embassy that have led to chaos and unrest.

In recent years, the Eritrean immigrant population in Israel has faced an ongoing series of disturbing incidents disrupting their peaceful lives. Acts of targeting and intimidating those who defy the Eritrean regime, disrupting places of worship, murders, extortion, intimidation, acts of violence including stomping on individuals, along with participation in a myriad of illegal activities have rsed significant alarm amongst us. It has come to our attention that a considerable number of these actions are orchestrated by groups illegally backed by the Eritrean embassy.

This organized network operates covertly during festivals, national holidays, and other hidden events, conducting extortion schemes with precision. The proceeds from such illicit activities are subsequently channelled back to the Eritrean regime's criminal networks to perpetuate their intimidation campgns and mntn their influence among immigrants within Israel. The Eritrean embassy gives these groups a false sense of protection and privilege in order to recruit them agnst those who oppose or refuse to comply with orders from the regime.

This continuous cycle of provocation by the Eritrean regime, as evidenced most recently on September 2nd, is causing unrest and confrontation within Eritrean communities around Israel. The actions are attributed directly to the Embassy, which has branded its diaspora supporters in Israel as the fourth front - a metaphor for their involvement in fighting enemies abroad under regime's direction.

The situation poses serious risks to public safety and security across both Israeli society and the Eritrean immigrant community alike. On September 2nd, the confrontation came to a head with violent clashes that highlight the urgent need to reevaluate all actions by the Eritrean embassy and its sponsored individuals in Israel, as well as those clming asylum based on escaping from the repressive rule of their home country.

As a proposed solution, we urge:

  1. Immediate closure of the Eritrean Embassy for orchestrating tensions, confrontations, and other unlawful activities.

  2. Investigate members of the fourth front including Nationalists and One Heart groups for any false asylum clms or associations with the regime they clm to have fled from; deport them back to Eritrea where they are not entitled to protection.

  3. Provide secure sheltering and a pathway to permanent residency for genuine, legitimate Eritrean immigrants who are victims of the ongoing persecution by their own government.

We trust in your leadership towards securing peace and stability for both Israeli citizens and immigrants alike. We hope that swift action can resolve this pressing issue and restore harmony among communities affected by these illicit activities.

Sincerely,

Eritrean Research Institute for Policy and Strategy ERIPS
